Aurora Balaclava (EN)
The Aurora Balaclava is worked in a cable pattern from the top down, beginning with the crown piece. Stitches are picked up along both sides of the crown piece and the hood is worked flat down to the neck. The face opening, lower edge of the hood, and the long ties are finished using double knitting.
The sample is knitted with Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, a soft 100% merino wool yarn. Any worsted-weight yarn can be used as a substitute. Your choice of yarn will influence the overall look and feel of the finished piece.
